O the day spa is an independently owned and operated full service day spa that has been serving the community of Pleasant Ridge since 2005. We are proud to pamper guests from anywhere in the metro Detroit region.
Nina Orlando opened O the day spa after embarking on their her amazing journey of transformation and healing. In 2005, she was overworked and overstressed; caught up in the high paced world of finance. Seeing the toll it took on her life, and the impact that overworking the body and spirit had on her physical health and interpersonal relationships, she decided to exit the rat race and develop a skill that would help people feel better. She fell in love with skin care right away, noticing how happy she made people with a new style. She began to learn advanced make-up and skincare techniques, eventually developing her own unique styles. She decided to leave her stress behind, and start a career that brought happiness to others. After much learning and personal growth, Nina decided to open O the day spa.
Her understanding of how spiritually uplifting it is to feel good about one's appearance has made O the day spa Pleasant Ridge a unique day spa. She has learned that helping others has further uplifted her spirits.
NINA ORLANDO
With almost ten years in the beauty industry, Nina Orlando has been in her current position at O The Day Spa since 2005. Her expertise is in make-up design and eyebrow arching. As owner, her responsibilities include overseeing operations, researching and reviewing independent beauty product lines and supervising staff. O The Day Spa is a beauty salon that provides body and skincare products and esthetic services.
Nina Orlando received her Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Michigan State University in 1999 and holds a Certification in Mud Make-Up, she attributes her success to her creativity and the support she receives from her mother. In the future, Ms. Orlando hopes to expand her business and open another spa in Michigan.
